Hydration, Celebration, Perspiration

August 11, 2019

Did you know when you are dehydrated it can truly zap your skin of the dewy glow we all want everyday, most of all on your wedding day!

Well with all of the celebrating we do the week or so before our big day, plus the worry and stress leading up to the eventually walk-down-the-aisle, we all need to take some added steps to ensure our skin is glowing from the inside out :)

Here are some great ideas, plus tips and tricks to use a weeks or two before your skin is the star of the show!

Eat your Water; “what does that mean you say” well it means when it comes to all the celebrations leading up to your wedding, Alcohol is culprit number one in sabotaging your dewy complexion.

To counteract this effect eat foods that are as hydrating as possible, some foods to load up on are, cucumbers, plus you can add them to your big-gulp of water which you will be drinking lots of to keep the dry-flakes at bay.

Other hydrating-rich foods are Watermelon, an 8oz cup is made up of over half water, plus watermelon has vitamin A & C; both helping to reduce oxidation in the skin

Yummy Strawberries; 91% water, and because weight comes from water, eating them will contribute to your daily water intake

Here are a few more foods to munch on leading up to your wedding and of course the day of; think of your glam-hour ( hair & makeup) as your Celebration, Hydration hour with a little Bubbly to wash them down :)

Cantaloupe; 90% Water

Peaches 89% Water

Oranges 88% Water

Lettuce 96% Water

Celery 95% Water

One more amazing trick to keep you hydrated all day long is to add powdered electrolytes to your water; you can find these in most supermarkets, Targets, and health food store throughout the country.
